Thank you all so much. The last six months have been a wild ride and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

To every voter who showed up this year: over 48,000 Democrat votes cast this year for this Senate seat—twice as many as in 2024. That's not a small thing. That's a district paying attention. And I'm honored that 6,571 of you chose me—more votes than any single candidate received for this seat in 2024.

To everyone who donated: your generosity paid for postcards, newspaper ads, and so much more. Each dollar was felt by every person on our team.

To my supporters: your encouragement kept me going through every long day of this race. So many respected friends and colleagues showed up for me, publicly and privately, and last night's outpouring of support meant more than I can say.

To the local outlets who covered my candidacy in this race: VTDigger, Vermont Public, Shelburne News, Williston Observer, Lake Champlain Chamber, and Vermont Daily Chronicle, and Seven Days, thank you for getting the word out. Not every primary gets this kind of attention and voters were better informed because of your work.

To my opponents: incumbents Thomas Chittenden, Ginny Lyons, and Kesha Ram Hinsdale ran formidable campaigns, and Joanna Grossman brought real energy and support to this race. I have deep respect for all of them.

To my volunteers: new and old friends alike, you canvassed, marched in parades, wrote Front Porch Forum posts and letters to the editor, and showed up every single time we needed you. 

And to my team: this scrappy, dedicated group who made magic happen with zero political experience between us. We knew unseating three incumbents was a long shot. We gave it everything we had with a variety of skills and I'd like to think we left a mark on this race. My husband and three kids were part of this team and showed up for me and kept me human throughout this race.

I am so proud of what we built together.
